Below you find the 4 books I use as the basis for teaching Aspen Plus online in Brazillian Portuguese for the Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei – UFSJ, and in English to students around the world through my website.
1) Teach Yourself the Basics of Aspen Plus, Second Edition (280 pages)
Written by Ralph Schefflan and published in 2016, his book is designed to enable chemical engineers to go through a step-by-step process of learning the basic ideas underlying chemical process simulation, by studying the primary functions of the Aspen Plus software.
2) Learn Aspen Plus in 24 Hours (208 pages)
Written by Thomas A. Adams II and published in 2017 (first edition), Learn Aspen Plus in 24 Hours shows, step-by-step, how to configure and use Aspen Plus and apply its powerful features to the design, operation, and optimization of safe, profitable manufacturing facilities. The second edition was released in 2022 and expanded the book to 336 pages.
3) Aspen Plus: Chemical Engineering Applications (640 pages)
Written by Kamal Al-Malah and published in 2016 (first edition), Aspen Plus®: Chemical Engineering Applications constitutes running tutorials that mainly cover common unit operations or chemical processes found in chemical industries. The second edition was released in 2022 and expanded the book to 656 pages.
4) Chemical Process Design and Simulation: Aspen Plus and Aspen Hysys Applications (448 pages)
Written by Juma Haydary and published in 2019, Chemical Process Design and Simulation is an accessible guide that offers information on the most important principles of chemical engineering design using both Aspen Plus and Aspen HYSYS simulation software.
Together, these books have 1576 pages and I have read all of them, in addition to my chemical process engineering and plant design expertise, to prepare ASPEN PLUS BOOSTER for you.
