My TOP 3 YouTube Channel For Chemical Process Engineers

YOUTUBE CHANNELS I RECOMMEND TO EVERY CHEMICAL PROCESS ENGINEER

I already did some list before in this blog, if you do quick research in my blog you will find the 3 Books To Booster Your Technical Skills in Chemical Process Engineering, also the 3 app to be installed in chemical engineers cellphone. Today, I will share with you the top 3 YouTube channels that every chemical process engineer should subscribe to. They are useful not only for students and fresh engineers but also for professionals.

Before I start, let me tell you that it is my point of view, and because of that, it is limited to what I know. I have chosen those ones because of regular content and because they are led by professionals, not by organizations.

So let’s start with the list and some comments.

CHEMICAL ENGINEERING GUY

It is the most popular among the three, with 39,600 subscribers (at the time of this post) and more than 1,000 videos, Chemical Engineering Guy YouTube channel covers subjects related to chemical engineering fundamentals, process simulation tutorials and so on. If you want to get started with Aspen Plus, in my point of view, there is no better place to start.

The channel is led by Emmanuel Ortega, a very nice person. With only a few conversations, Emmanuel accepted my invitation to participate in my first online event where I joined more than 20 professionals to talk about engineering. It happened in 2018, but since then I keep in touch with Emmanuel. Moreover, I keep watching his videos on  YouTube.

REFINING IS EXCITING!

I found this YouTube channel recently, although the first video is dated from 2014. With 100 videos uploaded and 3,670 subscribers, Refining is Exiting! is the best place to learn about the petroleum refining process.

Led by Jereme Mineau, you will find most of his content in English and also French. Refining is Exciting! content is clear and well produced. I have been watching some of Refining is Exciting! content to review subjects for my Aspen HYSYS Training Program.

I already invited Jereme to be one of my guests in an Interview Project. Help me convince him to accept my invitation 🙂

THE CHEMICAL PROCESS ENGINEER AND PLANT DESIGN

The youngest of the three, The Chemical Process Engineer and Plant Design is my youtube channel. In some extension, it completes the previously mentioned YouTube channels. With regular content since November 2019, the channel is increasing the number of subscribers fast. The channel already has 3,280 subscribers and projections point out that 100,000 subscribers may be reached in May 2022.

The Chemical Process Engineer and Plant Design goal is to guide chemical process engineers into plant design showing them what it takes to start, develop and finish an industrial plant. There, you will learn about process simulation software, piping and instrumentation diagram, engineering deliverables etc. Moreover, you will find information to extend your learning beyond YouTube. For instance, to other media like LinkedIn and Telegram.
